Residents

Aside from bringing an amazing array of experiences to their work, they also come from a wide array of places. If you visit our program, please talk to as many of our residents as you can. They will tell you why they chose Penn and what they like/dislike about the program. In the end, these are the people you will be working with everyday. Awards

The Citizenship Award is given to a resident in each class who goes above and beyond for their fellow residents, our patients, and our program. These residents truly exemplify the best characteristics of a Penn anesthesiologist and colleague.

The Ellison Award is voted by faculty to a graduating resident for excellence in clinical practice throughout residency training.

The Gutsche Award is voted by the obstetric faculty to a graduating resident for excellence in obstetric anesthesiology.
